What the Chrome connection reads
For the active tab, it can detect HTML5 video state such as the page URL, playback time, pause state, and available transcript or subtitle segments.
AI & DATA
Sqrless only connects to a course after you choose to connect it. This page explains the current private-beta data path without claiming that every step happens locally.
For the active tab, it can detect HTML5 video state such as the page URL, playback time, pause state, and available transcript or subtitle segments.
Sqrless first uses available Bilibili subtitle data. If usable subtitles are unavailable, the beta may use a separate subtitle retrieval path and, when enabled, an optional audio transcription fallback.
The macOS app and Chrome connection communicate with a service on 127.0.0.1. It coordinates the active lesson, session history, context windows, notes, and AI requests.
A question and the relevant nearby course context may be sent to the configured AI provider to produce an answer or notes. AI processing is therefore not guaranteed to be entirely local.
You can end a lesson connection from the product. During the beta, email [email protected] to request help reviewing or deleting data associated with your access.
